Many years ago I added a “Photoblog” category to this blog that has a scant two entries in it, both taken with the cellular phone I had at the time, the HTC Nexus One. The quality of these two pics is… questionable.
Buried somewhere in this domain’s file structure are albums that once lived in a Gallery 2 instance from a few events over the years that I share selective pics from on occasion.
Would I say that photography is an interest of mine? To a certain degree yes, but despite having carried a camera phone for the better part of two decades, I don’t presently own a “proper” camera. I once did, and the photos in the albums mentioned were taken with that camera.
Is a newer camera on my radar? Absolutely. One reason for this is I live in different state than the other 2 photoblog posts. I’ve also wanted a DSLR for quite some time, and I think if I did decide to spend the money for one, I would start taking more photos. I also am needing to upgrade phones as well, and the newer iPhones have much better cameras than my SE2’s, so quick shots with that will look better. I think I’ll end up with the newer phone first, so we’ll see how the photoblogging from that happens.
One thing to consider with this is I have random shots taken on old phones floating around I could do something with too. For example, I took a photo of a Bell System manhole cover in downtown Atlanta long ago that might make an interesting upload. A pity I forget why I was downtown for it. I’ve not taken a look at manhole covers around these parts, but I’m sure I’ll find an old Qwest or USWEST one at some point.
Just another thing for the list…
